The Vladovich Reacting Power Station or Vladovich Reactor was constructed shortly after the discovery of Genesisium in 1957, due to the massive amounts of energy produced by the elemental compound the plant was given an emergency warning system in case of a system malfunction. Only three known cases are found where the plant in 1958, 1960, and in 1962 in which it finally exploded due to a massive electrical discharge. It was shortly after this event in 1962, that the island was considered "dead" by the Soviet Union and Anya-21 was abandoned.
